Flowers

Good Morning,

Hope you are all well & keeping warm!
It's snowing at the moment here in Northampton, I'm glad I've got a week off & can stay indoors!
Wonder what I'll find to do!!!!!

Thought I would share a card with you that I made to order.
The brief was 'Happy Birthday Mum' & she likes flowers, I think I have both covered.

The flowers were cut with punches & the rolled roses were cut on the silhouette. The leaves were cut with a memory box die & on the silhouette. A mixture of gems & pearls have been added to the centre of the flowers. The butterflies were also cut on the silhouette, coloured with markers and glittered with glamour dust.

The aperture on this 8" card was cut with a spellbinder die, this obviously wouldn't go through all 3 layers so each layer was cut individually (quite tricky to get all 3 to line up) The top layer was then embossed with spell binders 'dainty dots' A4 embossing folder (couldn't do this before cutting the aperture as embossing flattened).
The sentiment is computer generated, cut with the same die as the aperture and placed on the inside of the card.

Quite liked the effect so thought I would make some 6" cards for my stock box. This time, to make it easier I cut the Sentiment out with a scalloped circle mat and mounted this to the front of the card.

Have a great day & stay warm

What a beautiful card! (All three, actually.) Those flowers look like delicate icing flowers and almost good enough to eat! The layers and textures are so lovely, and I love the mix of flowers with the added softness of the pearl centers. The recipient is sure to love this! Thanks so much for playing along with us at A Gem of a Challenge!
