 Good Morning everyone,

Hope you are all well & wishing those that are not a speedy recovery.

I am hoping that I will soon be feeling better and will have the motivation to leave you all comments.

There's a new challenge starting today over @ Totally PaperCrafts

'Ho Ho Holidays'
is the theme that the lovely Lisa has chosen for us

We are sponsored this challenge by the fabby DigiStamp Boutique

I have used Christmas Arthur Mouse which I have coloured with Copics & a little chalk

The papers are from my scrap box, the dotty on is from a Polka Doodles CD the other is a nit wit paper download. All layers have been matted onto gold mirri and the stars on the image were cut out so that the gold mirri showed through. The sentiment was computer generated, the hanging stars are cut from a MB die & glamour dust has been added to Arthurs hat.

and here it is:

Alison has designed her first sketch since joining the DT so it would be nice for you to join in and show her your interpretation's.

Here's mine:

I have used some papers I have had printed off since last year from the
Do Crafts 'Me to You' Especially For You CD. I have used silver mirri to mat all layers on to, the scalloped oval one is die cut using a spellbinder die. The image is a pre coloured one printed off the Crafters Companion CD 'Barkley Christmas'. The border die is a MB die & the snowflakes are a spellbinder die set cut from parchment and glittered with stickles. Oh and gems have been added to the centres. The sentiment is computer generated.

They are offering a $20 Gift Certificate to one lucky winner!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #183

Good Morning my crafty friends, hope you are all having a good weekend.

I had a busy day yesterday baking and sewing up Aran cardigans that my Mum has knitted for  us all. She knits them beautifully but reckons she can't sew up, so I get a bag full of bits to sew up for her. I must say I really don't enjoy the task and really have to make myself do it, I'd much rather be chopping paper up! Any way enough waffle.

Today Sunday Sketch & Stamp has a new challenge set by the lovely Anne Marie with this super sketch:

 Here's my interpretation:

Image - Tiddlyinks - Wryn Birthday Girl
Colouring medium - Copics & chalks
Papers - Dovecraft 'Garden Party'
Sentiment - Computer generated
Die - Spellbinders

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more great examples from the talented DT girls

Have a great day!

Faux stitching was added round the edge before being added to a double mat.
Bakers twine was then wrapped around and the star was added before mounting onto the card blank.

Today see's the start of a new challenge @ Songbird Challenge today with a great theme

'Your Favourite Song'

We are sponsored by Pink Gem Designs
the DT was offered a digi of their choice to create their card for this challenge.
I chose Jolly Robins to create my card to resemble:

'When The Red Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbing Along'

I went for a CAS design printing the image and a sentiment out to fit on a 5.5" piece of card.
I coloured the image in with Copics,  glitter gel pens & glamour dust.
I matted this onto gold, then red card before adding to the card base.

Forgot to say I added glossy accents to the glass.

I then added a parchment & glamour dusted layered snowflake with a gem in the centre but couldn't make up my mind with or without. Your thoughts would be good!

The trouble is now, I keep singing!! Not good!!!!

Friday Sketch Challenge #56

Good Morning,

Well the Doctor has given me another month off work, at this rate I won't want to go back!

This week's sketch over at Friday Sketch Challenge has been designed by the lovely Shirley

 and here it is:

I needed a card for my Nephew who has just got a job as a trainee tyre fitter so thought I would use this weeks sketch, what do they say, kill 2 birds with one stone.

The image was sourced on the net, I added the HB text to the banner. I then printed out his name and cut this out, I used a craft knife to cut round his thumb and placed this behind to make it appear as being held. The tyre track laser cut panel was designed by my Daughter on the silhouette, She is a bit of a whiz when it comes to designing cut files. I mounted the tyre track onto silver mirri then added ribbon the centre and a spanner brad to finish of.

Why not join in the challenge this week we have a super prize up for grabs. Hop on over to the challenge blog for more details and inspiration from my talented teamies

I'm of to try and get some Christmas cards made.

Have a good day!

Button it up @ TPC

Good Morning,

It's been a strange week this week for me & I can honestly say I don't know where all the time has gone. I have not had time to comment at all this week apart from my DT commitments but I am hoping I will be more organised from now on, fingers crossed!!!

Today there is a new challenge starting over at Totally PaperCrafts with Team B and Wendy hosting.
Wendy has chosen us a great theme:

'Button It Up'
so come on get out your button pots an get creating!

We are sponsored by the fab Kenny K
The winner will  receive 5 digis of their choice.

The DT was given an image to use and I chose Bow (adult)

The image was coloured with copics & a touch of chalk, think I could have gone a bit darker with the hair, bit too much highlight me thinks. The sentiment and the border was created in Photoshop, the line drawing was a first for me and took me ages! The tree is a MB die which I glittered with glamour dust and added buttons as baubles, I had no red ones so had to use copics to colour up some white ones.

Why not check out what my talented teamies have created to inspire you here.

Enjoy your weekend!
