Sunday Sketch & Stamp #218

Good Morning,

Craft room update -
Day bed has been put together, it's a sofa, single and double bed all in one with storage drawers. Went for this as I wanted somewhere for staying guests if I need it.
The desk has a couple of sets of drawers that were out of stock so can't get that assembled till next weekend as they support the top. So hopefully I can start moving my stash up next weekend.

The lovely Francesca has made us a super sketch to work with this next fortnight over at
Is that not just fab!
I went for a CAS design using white embossed papers mounted onto red card. I used a snowflake folder from Cuttlebug and the dainty dots A4 folder from Spellbinders.
The image is a poinsettia in a frame which I believe is from DigiStamp Boutique but I couldn't find it in their store. I coloured the image with markers and added a little glamour dust round the frame and gold glitter to the flower centers. The sentiment was computer generated.

Hop on over the the challenge blog for more inspiration and get your entries in, I can't wait to see what you come up with using this fab sketch.

Have a great day!

The papers were a freebie from Bearly Mine Designs and just right for Halloween.
The sentiment, bunting and webs were cut on the silhouette and the hat was cut by hand.
Stickles were used to give the webs a sparkle and edible art glitter was added to the hat

Harry's One

Good Morning,

4 days posting on the trot, this can't possibly last!

I can't believe Harry is 1 already, I remember making cards for his birth.
I thought I would share the card that I made to order for his birthday.

The image was printed from the Do Crafts CD 'Forever Friends - Celebrations', I added the number to the rosette. I colour picked from the image for the backing papers & embossed the white layer with the 'Hessian' folder from Crafters Companion. The sentiment was computer generated.

Back to work in the morning. Where did those 2 weeks go?

Floral hoop

Good Morning,

Had a lovely day yesterday and very productive.
I opened an Etsy shop that I've been wanting to do for a while. It's worth a try and easy to do. I've been putting it off as I thought it would be more complicated. I also was more active on FB, fumbling my way round, not really sure what I'm doing, takes me ages! Then took my Mum & Sister out for lunch at Nandos before a bit of retail therapy. Late afternoon my little Harvey came to stay while his Mummy went shopping. Can't believe he is 7 months already and such a happy little chappy!

Now my card for today:

All was cut on the silhouette, the sentiment was then stamped on. The backing papers are from Prima called 'Believe' The butterfly has been inked with distress ink & the flowers have button centers.
Easy peasy!

Back to the 20's

Good Morning my crafty friends,

Hope you are all well and looking forward to your weekend.
I'm back to work on Monday, the 2 weeks have flown by.

I was pleased with the LO of the card I posted yesterday so decided to use it again.
This time I coloured up a super sweet image from The Paper Shelter  called In The 20's
isn't she just adorable.

I used markers & chalk to colour the image and added a little glitter to the flower. The papers are from Raspberry Road called Timeless Victorian, they have lots to choose from and well worth a look. The sentiment was computer generated. The border die is from Spellbinder - A2 Scalloped Borders One. Finishing touches doily, seam binding & frantage.

The Fairies are at MAWTT

Good Morning,

Need to get the sewing machine out to make the blind for my room. Carpets been laid and all the paintings been done, just waiting on the furniture now. I can't wait to get my dining room back!

'FAIRIES'
That's the theme the lovely Pami has chosen for us over at
Moving Along With The Times
this week
I took the opportunity to colour up Freya Cupcake that I've been wanting to do for a while but never got round to. I printed and cut out all the pieces a while ago to to make a card for my children to give to my Sister whose birthday is in December and guess what they call her!
I have used papers printed from the Camden Town CD again, I can't help it I love them. The border was cut with a Spellbinder die - A2 Scalloped Borders One. All layers were matted onto kraft card that was cut on the silhouette as was the image/sentiment (print & cut). Markers, chalk, glamour dust, edible art glitter & viva pearls were used to colour the image.

Hop on over to see some fab examples here, then hop on over to my teamies blogs to find out items used and maybe leave them a comment which I know they love to get.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #217

 Good Morning,

I'm running late today as I forgot to make my DT card for
Sunday Sketch and Stamp
which should have gone live at 10.00. I must say sorry to Anne Marie who is hosting this weeks challenge with this fab sketch:

I have used a freebie image from All Dressed Up FB page, she is called Twinkle Toes and is just adorable and a dream to colour up. I have used markers, chalk, glamour dust and viva pearls to colour her up. Don't you think she is just so sweet!

The papers are printed from a Polka Doodles CD and white embossed with Spellbinders Dainty Dots folder. All layers were matted onto kraft card. The hearts were printed from a CD ages ago but I can't remember which one, I think it was one of Kirsty Wisemans. These had a coating of glossy accents to give them sheen and a button like appearance.

I'm off to empty my room of all the decorating bits and to get the carpet up as my new carpet is being fitted tomorrow, can't wait to get everything in there.

Have a great Day!

Friday Sketch Challenge #78

 Good Morning,

1 week of my annual leave gone already, how quickly the weeks go!
I'm pleased to say that I went back on line and got the furniture for my craft room delivered earlier than I thought, they must have had a cancellation, goodie!!!

I have a card to share with you today that I made using a Rick St Dennis image chicago-digi-stamp.
He is sponsoring the challenge over at
Friday Sketch Challenge
He has a great choice of digis in his store here

The image was coloured with markers and a little frantage. The paper was from a scrap booking kit I brought years ago and HOTP pad. The words and numbers were cut on the silhouette.
I followed this fortnights sketch which I rotated.

Why not hop on over to the challenge blog for more super examples.

Have a great weekend!

18 to 90

Good Morning,

My craft room make over is slow, the prep I find so boring and have to make myself do it. I will be more motivated when I can see some progress. I went online to order the furniture and can't get it delivered till the 8th October so I'm thinking no rush. However I then remembered that I have asked the carpet fitter to lay the carpet on Monday so need to get a move on.

I thought I would share a couple of quick makes.
I was asked for a couple of cards at short notice so made use of some pre coloured images from a couple of Do Crafts CD's Forever Friends Celebrations and Wellington Sunny Days collection

All papers were printed from the CD's .
The numbers were cut on the silhouette

Both cards were personalised with the birthday girls name. I did this by adding text to the tags.
Ribbon and die cut/punched flowers were added for that finishing touch.

I think the images on these CD's are so versatile, they do for so many occasions for both male and female and all ages.

Have a lovey day

No Squares at MAWTT's

 Good morning my crafty friends,

Another weekend is nearly here, don't they come round quickly.
I then have 2 weeks off work when hopefully I will get my room decorated. However at the moment I can't get in touch with the carpet fitter so I daren't order the furniture till I have a date from him.

Debs is hosting this weeks challenge over at
Moving Along With The Times
She wants everyone to shape up and doesn't want to see any squares!

I hope you like my owl shaped card.
The body was cut out in a freebie paper from Bearly Mine. The same shape was cut out twice in card and the back piece was scored below the ears to allow the card to open/stand. All the other pieces were cut out in white card and coloured with markers. The bunting and the letters were cut on the silhouette and attached to bakers twine.

For more great shaped cards, all very different hop on over to the challenge blog here.

Have a lovely day!
